What a lovely overcast day I had today. Nothing like French Roast coffee with a friend. Me and Cinnamon discussed a novel I hope to maybe create. Our ex's. Hurricanes. Horror stories and food. It was fun, and very relaxing. Well, upon leaving her house the overcast day turned into night. They fenced out the apartment courtyard, so my ten second trip to her house has turned into a five minute adventure. For we live right around the corner from each other.

So we say our goodbyes and I make my way out. After a few turns down this street and that. I hear a car slowly inch up behind me, without any lights on. I can't say from which direction it came, but I can say it was shady. Even more suspicious it inched up as I happened to be shrouded by trees that over shadowed the sidewalk. Also this street is very dark, although a short distance to the main little suburban street I was crossing over to get too. I turn around thinking maybe it's just the wind, because I heard the faint squeal of brakes and then I saw the black Jeep SUV. It was too dark to make anything out, I could just make out the shape. It slowly inched toward me at an angle and stopped. It had no lights on, and stopped on an angle pointed my way. Luckily I'm just a few paces away from the parking lot of a convenience store, although closed and still fairly dark I briskly make my way across.

I kept looking back to see if maybe they were parking, possibly lived there on the street. Although I highly doubted this since if they did, they would have parked properly as opposed to an angle. I couldn't make out anything about the car other then the shape which resembled a Jeep SUV type. It was too dark and the added covering from the trees made it more impossible. Thankfully I wasn't too far from other people and light; there was even a group of teens ahead of me. So even in worse case scenario someone would have probably heard or seen something happen. I just briskly walked to my car around the corner and locked the doors. It was closer then the apartment, so I opted to take quick shelter and call the police. I reported what I saw and they went to check it out. Strangely the Jeep SUV wasn't there anymore.

Shady? Yes.
